I've been putting off wearing this dress ever since I bought it last September. It's one of those pieces that you wait for the right moment to wear. Although there was no special occasion it just felt right. Wear whatever feels good. That's one of the rules I live by.

As you might have figured out from the title, Mademoiselle Economist turns 2 today! 

I have nothing more to say but a big thank you to all of you who read this blog and for the love you've shown these two years. Although still a small fish in a big pond, I could never imagine Mademoiselle Economist to become what it is today. 

Here's to another two years of more fashion and more often!

DENIM ON DENIM II

My last post ended with a note ''I'll be right back soon''. Well, 'soon' was actually much longer than what I expected it to be when I was typing it. This is probably the longest period I have not posted. A hectic exam schedule and then an internship pretty much sum  of these past two months. Adapting to a completely different routine takes time but I think I'm almost there.

Now back to basics.. Denim on denim. One of my favourite combinations and a mini-trend for this season. It has a classic twist to it but it's also unconventional as a combination in some sense. This is enough to justify  the particularity I have developed for mixing denim. You've seen a very different version of it back in February here with the same all time favourite denim shirt. I think denim on denim is somehow an equivalent of a white top and denim. Both are defined by a perfect simplicity and a classic vibe which bypass any fashion 'seasonalities'. 

 Yes or no to denim on denim?

I'm sorry for the lack of posts but since it's exam period, my time is limited! I just have one more exam to go next week and that's the finish line for Year 2. That is exciting!
